For facial rejuvenation the plastic surgeon can use invasive and mildly invasive methods. All the surgical face-lifting techniques must be customized according to the patient age. Since 1996, Dr Roger AMAR has been offering state-of-the-art autologous fat transplantation called FAMI which stands for Facial Autograft Muscle Injection. With FAMI, in well chosen patients, the rejuvenation is obtained by injections only, for a true muscular facial restructuration.

THE FAMI  TECHNIQUE

Aging is often expressed by a loss of the facial volumes in the brow, cheekbones, jaw line etc....These conditions become obvious in the forties and traditional liftings are not the best surgery in a lean face. The purposely designed Amar technique restores the volumes of the face and gives back a youthful appearance.
 

To perform this autograft, Dr AMAR uses specially-designed cannulas, adapted to each of the 30 muscles of the face. The fatty connective tissue is obtained by lipo-biopsy in  well chosen lower parts of the body. After centrifugation, graft cylinders are injected between the fibre of the facial muscles.  FAMI technique is performed under local anaesthesia with sedation. It may correct  some facial defects in all layers of any skinny face with a receding chin, soft tissue and bone as well. The facial rejuvenation with FAMI  gives good results after lifting with  mask
look.
 

The result is permanent, natural and scarless. Touch ups are generally not necessary.
